Summer 2017 Update

We have been working closely with the Park County Office of Historic Preservation to obtain landmark status for the entire North London Mill site. After reviewing our initial application, ParkCo requested that we do an 'archeological site survey' in order to determine the scope and breadth of the historic site. We are now engaged in the process of obtaining this survey, which, when complete, should facilitate our landmark recognition.

Landmark status is essential, because it opens up funding possibilities with the State Historical Fund (History Colorado). It also qualifies us for valuable, dollar-for-dollar tax credits. The hope is to have landmark status completed in time to apply for grants in October.

We are also close to submitting a proposal for an Historic Structure Assessment to History Colorado in order to understand the possibilities for the restoration of the North London Mill. We continue to work with the architectural firm of Form + Works Design Group, who have experience with the restoration of the Paris Mill, as well as many historic preservation projects throughout Colorado.

We're grateful to everyone who has supported this project so far!

We'll be in Alma for the Festival in the Clouds on July 14-16, and we'll have a booth at Burro Days in Fairplay on July 29-30. We'll have hats, posters, and postcards for sale, with great door prizes from 10th Mountain Huts AssociationBreckenridge Distillery, Mountain Outfitters, South Park Brewing and more! Stop by Booth 24 and say hello!
